To accommodate the growing demand from exhibitors, we have taken a definitive step to expand the exhibition space by 37% this year. Sentiment received is enthusiastically remarkable, approximately 70% of the booths are sold out as of 20 December 2006, which is more than 7 months before show starts. A dedication to various government bodies, associations, exhibitors, visitors and media for their support all these years. With such splendid result and the inception of Fine Pavilion, this prestigious event is set to reach a greater height.

The Renowned Fine Pavilion at MIJF 2007
Riding on the wave of success at Malaysia International Jewellery Fair 2006 (MIJF), once again it is set to return from 9 – 12 August 2007 at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia as a top-notch exhibition with more comprehensive jewellery collection for industry fraternities.
One of the main highlights of MIJF this year is the inception of the first Fine Pavilion in Malaysia . It is a custom designed pavilion for unique display of luxury and exquisite jewellery pieces from some of the world's greatest jewellers. Malaysia International Jewellery Fair (MIJF) had marked another year of astonishing success this year. It is an honour for MIJF to receive continuous support and faith from government authorities, associations, sponsors, valued exhibitors, media and visitors. We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude to everyone who have supported MIJF in overcoming all obstacles in organising this prestigious event.
The brand new version of MIJF’s official website is currently up on track, all information with regards to MIJF 2007 will be available to you here. As you may notice the complete revamping on the overall image, we endeavour to initiate and improvise to create interesting highlights in the exhibition and to provide the best service ever to exhibitors and buyers. Malaysia International Jewellery Fair 2006 Ended Gracefully
The glittering affair of Malaysia International Jewellery Fair 2006 which was staged on the 10 – 13 of August 2006 ended with astonishment as over 11,000 thousands of jewellery lovers thronged to the fair. The grand Opening Ceremony was launched by the honourable YB Dato' Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Malaysia. As according to YB Dato' Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil during her speech, jewellery still gives her the greatest happiness despite other priority in her life. This statement was supported by our Project Director Mr. Johnson who requested all husbands and sons to show appreciation to the women in their life by pampering them with jewellery that will last for a life time.
YB Dato’ Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil also stated that she look forward for the next year exhibition and MIJF is not just an exhibition of jewellery and beauty but it is a tool that generate business opportunity and also the fact Malaysia is a huge market for jewellery industry with the ready market of women nowadays who are successful in their career and afford to reward themselves with a good piece of jewellery to mark their success. The Opening Ceremony proceeded with the award presentation to Elite Expo Sdn Bhd from Malaysia Book of Records for the first exhibition in the country that used iris recognition for security scanning system.
The ambience of Opening Ceremony was phenomenal with the presence of jewellery-fashion show featuring top models parading exquisite jewellery pieces sponsored by Monde D’Or Pte Ltd. Evening dresses sponsored by Carven Ong Couture had added mesmerize to the dazzling pieces with elegant coiffure set by Sebastian Professional (Official Make-up Sponsor) and Hair Atelier (Official Hair-do Sponsor). The finale of catwalk ended graciously with the highlight of attention from two masterpieces sponsored by Bonia namely Bonia Pearlite Leather Swarovski Jeweled D’Orsay and Guezz Jewelry’s Dome Structure.
Outstandingly, this year’s fair has shown an increase of 37% of exhibit space as compared to year 2005. Moreover, there were 3 national pavilions from the leading jewellery countries such as Singapore, Myanmar and Hong Kong that contributing to the total of 66% of exhibitors in MIJF 2006.
For the first time, Elite Expo Sdn Bhd hosted a spectacular Cocktail Reception on the 11 August 2006 at Impiana KLCC Hotel & Spa. Royal families, government representatives, VIP guests, exhibitors and buyers were present at the dazzling event. The lavish Cocktail Reception had kept everyone captivated with the fashion show parading elaborate jewellery pieces by Monde D’Or Pte Ltd, Fook’s Jewelry and Uni Gems Sdn Bhd. The ballroom was buzzed with excitement while guests were having great moment enjoying the cuisine and watching dance performance prepared by the host. It was certainly a night for exhibitors to congregate with business opportunity with buyers and guests from every corner of the globe while enjoying the hospitality offered by the host.
Another major highlight was the jewellery fashion show held inside exhibition hall where visitors enjoyed closer look of jewellery pieces. This event received great response by the public as well as exhibitors, “it was definitely entertaining enough, I’ve never experienced such excellent ambience”, said a local visitor; “I think it’s a very good idea, it brings life to the exhibition,” said Ms Ritu Aurora, Director of Jaipore Jewels. Moreover, every visitor got the chance to participate in Spend & Win contest and Guess-the-Value game for to win fabulous prizes. Most importantly, the new service introduced by the Organiser – free jewellery cleaning and polishing service was overwhelming as visitors were generally getting more involved in business trading. “This is the first time I’m doing this in an exhibition, I find it a very creative idea as it obviously helping to improve my business”, said Mr Rajesh Pritmani, Director of Joyeria Kohinoor who sponsored the service.
